Flames of Desire Episode 8

I find some scenes refreshingly funny and surprisingly cute. Weird! I never knew it’ll be possible to include even a teeny-weeny bit of  humor in FoD. Loving the almost levity!

Perfidious Alliances. Power Struggles. Inevitable Conflicts.

Of course, serious matters are still served hot and sizzling!

Flames of Desire Episode 7

This girl is painfully bitter, immeasurably hurt and bitingly cold that she needs help and serious rehab!

Unforeseen comebacks. Manipulative wives. Disturbed youths.

I consider this episode a prelude to madness. Bits and pieces of the elaborate puzzle are slowly but steadily sticking together, forming and suggesting dangerous enmities ahead. I can already imagine the perplexity of it all!!!

Episode 7

MinJae had this craziest idea of travelling on the countryside by bike… alone! Of course, NaYoung dismisses the silly thought ASAP. But MinJae sure knows how to reason out and negotiate.

Drama Preview: Secret Garden

Hyun Bin and Ha JiWon?! Two of my favorite actors in one yummy-lecious Kdrama! Weee! A few more days to go and we’ll get to enjoy this soul-swapping, soul searching romantic comedy slash melodrama. I wonder how this drama would end up as a melodrama though. Souls swapping has always been hilarious for me.

Q10 Episode 1 (Edited)

Cute, funny, quirky, sweet and heart-warming! An interesting approach to life and love! 🙂

Note: The dialogues are basically roughly translated. Japanese isn’t really my first language. And it’s very hard to translate. I’m waiting for the fansubs but for now, hope you find this helpful.

Episode 1

Take, for example… a person on this earth who is more important to you than yourself. Does a person like that truly exist? Take, for example… something that seems like it should change my life…giving a confession of love like the ones I’ve seen on TV…wearing clothes I found in a magazine…going on a date at a place everyone lines up to get into …kissing someone in a scene just like a movie… In the dead of night, I ask myself over and over “it would have been good even if it wasn’t me, right?”… “It would have been good even if it wasn’t you, right?”… “The guy next to me would’ve done just as well, right?”… “Was there any reason it had to be the two of us in the first place?”  It can begin at any time and end at any time. Something that disposable … is that really love? It isn’t sold anywhere and it doesn’t have a name. Falling in love with someone like that is that some… incredible miracle?

Our show opens with a “girl” (Maeda Atsuko) sitting on the road. But then something’s wrong! How come she appears so lifeless?! Don’t worry she ain’t dead, just turned off.

First Impression: Q10

Before I post the summarecap for Q10, I’ve decided to write an impression first. I’m loving this drama already!

Here’s a detailed synopsis from Jdrama Weblog:

One day, while under the influence of alcohol, Kishimoto Jiro, the principal of Shikahamabashi High School picks up a “girl” from the garbage. The next morning, that girl is sleeping in the school premises when she is found by Fukai Heita. The robot girl suddenly comes alive and Heita names her ‘Q10′. ‘Q10′ starts to adore Heita, its godparent, and Heita, who has not been popular with girls all the while, is bewildered. The robot ‘Q10′ is taught by Heita about humans and begins to learn …

Announcement: 10-21-10

I had been very vocal with my opinion regarding 4 Gifts ever since. And I believe I’ve given this drama a fair chance to prove itself, however, 5 episodes passed but still… I can’t establish a connection. I was really hoping it would develop into “something”, but it didn’t, at least for me.

I know some of you may not agree. But I hope you understand that it’s just a matter of personal preference. Maybe I was just expecting too much coz every time I watch 4 Gifts (with the exemption of Episode 2, I always get frustrated. You know the feeling of almost being there, but then not quite? For me, it’s like anxiously waiting to taste my favourite Sea Food Curry only to find it spoiled.

Of course, this is just me. And I couldn’t possibly influence those people who don’t share my views. But then, having said this lengthy explanation, I am officially pulling the plug and will stop with Episode 5.

But for every sad ending is a new beginning…

Queen Not Getting Off Work (4 Gifts) Episode 5 Recap

I just knew this day would come. 😦

I regret to inform everyone that this will be my last entry for 4Gifts. To say it more tactfully, this just ain’t my cup of tea. Sorry.

Episode 5

All the while, JiaLiang assumed that RuoTian already forgot ShengJie. But then, he’s dead wrong. It hurts him so bad to know that the famous “outstanding” prosecutor is acting rather dumb and is still very much attached to her ex. She even hires somebody to gather info of his whereabouts. Disappointed and upset, he angrily tosses the info she needed and walks out.
