Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai Movie Recap
Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai’s big-screen adaptation is finally out for us to feast on and swoon over! The movie greatly exceeded my expectations. The plot drastically thickened as emotions were torn and friendships were put to a test. There were tons of blush-worthy moments and as the movie progressed, I felt like going back to my teenage, hormone-driven years. Tehehe!
If you want to read my recaps on the show’s prequel, click here: [1] [2]. But if not, you can just read on. The movie is equipped with tons of flashbacks from the prequels anyways.
Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai Episode 2
This is part-two of the two-part mini-series. Unlike the first installment, I find this episode a lot more promising. Yes, there were cheesy, unnecessary scenes but at least we get to see some character development especially for Black Devil Kurosaki who proves to be kinder than what he leads on. White Prince Shirakawa also showcased a more aggressive stance in the budding love triangle. I’m quite disappointed with Yuu’s character though. She hasn’t really showed the full-on confidence I was looking for. Obviously, the show is holding back for the big-screen adaptation. Hopefully, we see a feisty, strong-willed Yuu there.
PS: This is just a prequel, so yeah, expect a movie recap soon. Of course, it’ll only be available once Eng subs are released.
Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai Episode 1
Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai (I’m Not Just Going to Do What Kurosaki-kun Says) is by far the longest title ever!!! Kidding! On a more serious note, I find the mini-series too predictable. It’s as if all textbook cliches known to man has been forcefully shoved in this drama. It would have been awesome-er if they added extra dose of humor or conflict or anything to make it more appealing. Anyways, I’m giving this mini-series a chance since it’s just the first episode. Hopefully, it can offer something more, or if not, it’ll just fall to the dreaded bland, lusterless category.
