First Impression: Q10
Before I post the summarecap for Q10, I’ve decided to write an impression first. I’m loving this drama already!
Here’s a detailed synopsis from Jdrama Weblog:
One day, while under the influence of alcohol, Kishimoto Jiro, the principal of Shikahamabashi High School picks up a “girl” from the garbage. The robot girl suddenly comes alive and Heita names her ‘Q10′. ‘Q10′ starts to adore Heita, its godparent, and Heita, who has not been popular with girls all the while, is bewildered. The robot ‘Q10′ is taught by Heita about humans and begins to learn …
This is a certified feel-good drama! No in-depth analysis. No profound philosophical insights. No heavy melodramatic feel. At least for Episode 1, there ain’t. 🙂
It’s not like this drama lacks any sense at all. Nope! Anything but that. In fact, it has some life lessons too! Just that, Q10 deals with these life lessons in a very light and entertaining sort of way. Which is good!
Episode 1 is a truck-load of fun. “Q10” is hilarious. I dunno, but she reminds me of C-3PO of Starwars. Haha! She’s got this robotic voice, robotic smile, robotic strength, robotic memory but then… she looks freakishly human to me. And it’s interesting to know how this cute little robot girl will make Heita far more human than he is.
