Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai Episode 1
Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai (I’m Not Just Going to Do What Kurosaki-kun Says) is by far the longest title ever!!! Kidding! On a more serious note, I find the mini-series too predictable. It’s as if all textbook cliches known to man has been forcefully shoved in this drama. It would have been awesome-er if they added extra dose of humor or conflict or anything to make it more appealing. Anyways, I’m giving this mini-series a chance since it’s just the first episode. Hopefully, it can offer something more, or if not, it’ll just fall to the dreaded bland, lusterless category.
Heroine Shikkaku (Heroine Disqualified) Movie Recap
OH MY GOSH!!! I’ve been squeaking like a duckie for hours now. After the long wait, English Subs for Heroine Shikkaku are out! GAWD, it almost felt forever. I’m glad I didn’t give in to the temptation of watching it raw, or else, it wouldn’t be that satisfying, neh?
This movie is <3! It’s ridiculously funny and amazingly sweet at the same time. It just swells of cuteness and quirky fun. Unlike other live adaptations, this movie is far more relaxed. The exaggerated manga-like acting adds to its over-all appeal. Kudos to Kiritani for nailing this one. Disqualified or not, she’s still the best heroine, EVER!
PS: Is it just me or is Yamazaki becoming a regular in this blog. Yep, I’m officially fangirling here. Tehehe!
Kinkyori Renai (Close Range Love) Movie Recap
Frankly, I decided to give this movie a try only because of the “forbidden love” plot. Perhaps I was just expecting too much or because it had a weak story line, I don’t know, but one thing is clear… I was disappointed with the film. It just fell below par for me. Sorry.
Anyways, this recap is dedicated to all Yamapi fans out there. 🙂 Credits to minipipami for the stills.
Clover Movie Recap
Somehow I find this movie lacking in premise. The acting was okay but there were important points obviously missing in the story line. For instance, the movie wasn’t keen on emphasizing as to why and when Tsuge actually fell for Saya or if Hino hasn’t really forgotten about her. If I were to suggest, the movie should have lingered on these thoughts. Anyways, over-all, it’s okay.
PS: This is a baby recap.
